Bridal Veil Falls

I had a great time with my family! We hiked up to a beautiful waterfall. Once we where at the waterfall we played around in the cold water, but luckily it was a hot day so we dried up quickly. After playing around in the waterfall we hiked back down and had a picnic. I had a great day! - McKenzie

Who needs a desk?

This is how Kendal often does homework. It doesn't matter that she has a desk in her room, through the bed frame is so much cooler!
Kendal has done a great job in 6th grade and she has really taken her studies and her grades seriously the last few terms. She made the high honor roll for the 3rd term and I am so proud of her.

"Everyone loves to get an new room it smells like new and love. It also is fun because it is so beautiful. I love my room because it is just the right size for me. It is the best thing ever." - Kendal

3rd grade wax museum

On February 2nd the boys had a WAX MUSEUM presentation. Morgan was Evel Knievel and Emmitt was John Henry. They were supposed to pick someone that had already died and that had somehow contributed to society. They had scripts to memorize about their person. When you pushed their wax museum button on their desk, they came to life and told us their stories. They were awesome.

"This is called guilty. My name was evel kinevel. i was the worst villain in my class! But it was fun." - Morgan

"I was John Henry. For my costume we got cotton and hot glued it to a shirt. Jace sat next to me, he was Obama. It was very fun."

Boys

January 23rd delivered us a good snow storm. This winter has been pretty mild compared to last winter.  We couldn't keep up last year and this year we're all excited to shovel snow, especially these good boys. They wish we could get enough to go sledding. I kind of do too. All the kids got new awesome snow pants for Christmas and they have no excuse to wear them!

Emmitt loves Scouts

Emmitt has been working so hard on his scouting. His amazing leaders in Heber are Jared Bowman and his dad Matt. In Midway, Melanie Bloxam and Norma and her husband Brian Thayne have been so helpful and great leaders too.

"This is me and my mom. I am at pack meeting. I got my wolf badge. I got to paint mom's face and she got to paint my face. It was fun." - Emmitt

New rooms and peace on earth

Heath, Kelsey, and I spent the majority of our Christmas Break moving the boys from the two bedrooms on the main level upstairs to the one big bedroom, and Kendal and McKenzie from sharing a room upstairs into the two bedrooms on the middle floor.
We painted. We bought curtains and rugs and clocks and made wall hangings and decorations. We MOVED so much stuff!!
Kendal and McKenzie were starting to really get on each other's nerves. It is hard for a 12 and 11 year old to share a room and still like each other. They need their own space and their privacy if life is going to go well here at our house.
The Crane kids came back to our house on December 27th so we hustled to get it all completed in time. The girls were so surprised and LOVED it!

"My new room was awesome! I loved it so much. I was so surprised. It was so glamorous. Now I don't need to share a room with anyone. Now I have my own room. The first time that I slept in my bed I felt so comfy. I hope that I can keep this room for a long time, and I will try to keep my room clean for as long as I can." - McKenzie

"My new room so really nice sleeping, parting getting out of my siblings. It is nice for doing homework, it is peaceful, quiet, cute and e.t.c. It is the perfect space for me, i wouldn't want another room in the house. I love my closet it fits my clothes and even some other things like blankets and games. I love everything in my room how it is." - Kendal

Peace on Earth, totally worth it.

Roasting in December

The weather has been so mild this winter. On December 29th we had a hot dog and marshmallow roast for lunch. It was crazy to be outside and not worrying about how cold it was or if you're Morgan, even wearing a coat or jacket!

I sure love these little crazies! It is good to be back together again during the Christmas Break.

Art Show Winner Winner Chicken Dinner Dinner

The high school had an art show and every student was required to enter one of their pieces. Mrs. Sprackland asked Kelsey to enter two of hers. She entered a batik Day of the Dead and her monochromatic Indian, Overdue Reminiscence. She won first place in the painting section and $20!
Kelsey is a talented girl.

32 little Indians

"That day at school I was an Indian. Me and my class performed a skit. That day at school was very very very fun. In the skit I was a buffalo and my friend pretended to shoot me. Don't worry he didn't actually shoot me I am still alive.
These are my Indian buddies - Dominic, Ethan, Tristan, and Casen." - Emmitt

Emmitt's class has been learning about ancient civilizations all over the world. They did a fantastic job doing a poem/chant/reading with some shakers made out of toilet paper tubes with beans inside all decorated up. They also did skits and portrayed the ancient way of life. I am pretty sure there was a rain dance as well. Mrs. Fillmore is an incredible teacher. December 15th 2017

Interfaith Creche Exhibit

"My mom says to go to the creche. I like being my mom's angel girl. My mom makes me happy. And I love baby Jesus. I am an angel. " - Kenna

I would love it if I could get a picture of the kids dressed up at the Interfaith Creche Exhibit every year at Swiss Christmas in Midway. This is the second year of doing this. So blasted cute!

Another sweet tree from Boulder

"I sluffed yoga so for extra credit our teacher allows us to send her pictures doing yoga poses in everyday situations." - Kelsey

We went Christmas tree hunting on Boulder Mountain again this year on the first weekend of December. The weather was so warm, we hardly needed coats.

We found a tree for us and one for Carol.
Heath is just so cute, I had to get a picture of my handsome fella.

"I loved to look like a bunny." -Kenna

"We got our Christmas tree. It was very fun hunting for it.
Me and the kids played a fun game. I was a wolf in the game.
We ran through the trees. It was very fun." - Emmitt

"I liked to do thumbs up." - Kenna
